Program Objective

To provide training in the basic knowledge and skills of veterinary nursing for individuals entering this career field. This foundational course prepares students for entry-level positions assisting veterinarians and technicians.

While these positions typically require fewer skills than those of a veterinary technician or assistant, experience gained can lead to advancement to the level of veterinary assistant.

Note: To be eligible for veterinary technician licensure, additional education and work experience are required.

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to students who successfully complete the program.
